School Council

Ocker Hill Infant have a School Council.

The Council consists of 2 children from each class in Reception; Year 1 and Year 2.

The children attend many meetings over the year and discuss share and offer feedback from pupil voice across the school. These children are 'active' in their participation and work hard to ensure that Ocker Hill values and shows that 'The Love of Learning gives you Wings' motto.

So far, the children have developed and created a child friendly version of the 'attendance policy'; 'behaviour policy'; staying safe in the sun' policy and information; to which they also did a whole school assembly promoting 'good practice' in the sun. further to this; they made a display for the school.

The children frequently discuss what keeps us safe at school, home and in our local area and further afield. They also have a good impact on the behaviour in the toilets and reward scheme operational in school.
